Cobham mesh products save weight and power for fast and reliable communications at Cabsat 2013 Posted: 21/01/2013
Cobham mesh products save weight and power for fast and reliable communications at Cabsat 2013

IP mesh wireless communications create a self-healing Wifi network which can be expanded to cover any area. The latest modules from Cobham are light and efficient, weighing just 350g and consuming 10W. Added to a camera, it gives full video and audio access to the network. Using the open internet or Ka-band satellites, the network can then connect to the newsroom from wherever the story is happening, carrying video, telephony and computer connections. MediaMesh packages the complete system into a simple, fast set-up form which can be carried to the location in a standard baggage allowance.
