Introducing Primera Trio and cent;: the Worlds Smallest, Lightest All-in-One Printer

Specialty printer manufacturer Primera Technology, Inc., announced the new Primera Trio, the worlds smallest and lightest portable all-in-one printer, on January 6th during the ShowStopper @ CES 2015 event in Las Vegas. Primera Trio prints, copies and scans in full color or black monochrome from a unit that weighs just 1.2 kg (2.7 lbs.), is about the size of a hardcover book, and fits easily into computer bags, backpacks and briefcases, setting a new benchmark in the portable printer market.

Designed for business and leisure travelers as well as local users with on-the-road printing needs, Primera Trio copies, scans and prints on standard A/A4-size paper with fast and reliable full-color inkjet technology.  It can print text, graphics and photo-quality images on plain paper with up to 4800 dpi print resolution. Postcards, invitations and 4 x 6 borderless photos can be printed by using the printers rear feed slot.

Innovative patent-pending design keeps the size small. For example, the top cover opens to reveal a built-in 10-sheet input feeder. A unique rotating print head is then moved to the up position so that the printer is ready for use. For traveling, the print head folds back down, caps itself to prevent drying out or leaking while in transit, and the top cover folds back into the case.

Primera Trio also:

Connects to any computer, laptop or tablet that includes a USB port and supports Windows® Vista®, 7 and 8x or Mac® OSX 10.7+.

Comes with Primera PTgo! scanning and copying software, which allows scans to be saved as .pdf files, .jpg images or other common file formats.

Offers an optional battery pack that delivers up to 100 printed pages on a single charge.

Offers an optional vehicle mounting bracket and 12V/USB power cords for applications requiring in-vehicle printing such as route delivery, public safety and law enforcement.

Lets you personalize your printer with optional top covers in silver, white, pink and blue.

Until now, portable printing has never really been practical. Existing page-size portable printers are heavy and bulky; the smallest machines print only in black monochrome with low print resolution on old fax-style thermal paper that curls, fades in sunlight and easily scratches; and hotel business centers are notoriously outdated, out of order, out of paper and not secure, said Mark D. Strobel, Primeras vice president of sales and marketing. Primera Trio is a true road warriors dream. It is as easy to carry as a laptop, as full-featured as much larger and heavier desktop all-in-ones, and is as close as your computer bag when you need it.

Pricing and Availability

Primera Trio sells for 375 (MSRP) and is available on most popular web stores. Complete product details are available at http://primeratrio.eu. Follow Primera Trio on Facebook at www.facebook.com/primeraeurope and on Twitter at http://twitter.com/PrimeraEU.

A Choir Performance In Kuala Lumpur Achieved Crystal Clear Sound Thanks To DPA Microphones Posted: 12/11/2019
A Choir Performance In Kuala Lumpur Achieved Crystal Clear Sound Thanks To DPA Microphones

DPA Microphones’ recently launched 4097 CORE Supercardioid Choir Microphone was used to great effect in Kuala Lumpur when a choir of 12 men and women gathered in Independence Square to mark the 50th anniversary of the Department of Enforcement, Kuala Lumpur City Hall.

The event, entitled Hari Penguatkuasa DBKL, featured a parade in conjunction with the Golden Jubilee Celebration of Enforcement Day. It culminated in a live performance by the DBKL City Hall Choir who performed in front of an audience of approximately 2,000 people.

Mr Ajun Mubari, head of Malaysian audio rental company Mubari, says DPA’s 4097 CORE Supercardioid Choir Microphones were chosen to amplify the choir because their integrated shock mount and wind screen made them ideally suited to outdoor use.

“The 4097 microphone is awesome and very easy to work with,” he says. “We used one pair to cover the choir group and positioned them on either side of the choir who were standing in a semi-circle. The concert generated very high sound pressure levels – in excess of 90dB – but thanks to the 4097’s high isolation, the sound coming from the stage monitors (which were placed in front of the choir and behind the microphones) did not affect the available gain during the performance. This was a huge advantage as it meant we could capture the true sound of the choir without picking up any other sound.”

Imperial College London and Three Media implement and ldquo;near and rdquo; real time platform optimisation

Three Media, media specialist and product provider of XEN:Pipeline, today announced the completion of an 18-month project in conjunction with Imperial College London. The goal of the project was to make media supply chain processing more affordable by identifying ways to reduce costs and maximise workflow, process and resource efficiencies.

The project, called Digital Media Data Analytics (DMDA), was initiated and led by Three Media in conjunction with an Imperial College London team headed by Performance Engineering expert Dr Anthony Field. The combined team applied its expert knowledge of data analytics and optimisation techniques to Three Media's XEN:Pipeline development programme.

XEN:Pipeline enables users not only to evaluate and optimise existing workflows and business processes in near real time, but also to model new and changing virtual revenue streams either as stand-alone or alongside the existing. It also provides opportunities to identify, model, and prove new and innovative services and chargeable functions. XEN:Pipeline is a highly configurable, scalable, storage agnostic and performant system that can operate across multiple company and supplier locations and departments, identifying and resolving often-hidden bottlenecks, pinch points and under-utilisation from existing workflows and processes.

LAURA PODOLAK WADDELL JOINS GRAVITY MEDIA TO MANAGE ITS NORTH AMERICAN STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS Posted: 11/11/2019
LAURA PODOLAK WADDELL JOINS GRAVITY MEDIA TO MANAGE ITS NORTH AMERICAN STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS

Gravity Media, the leading global provider of complex live broadcast facilities and production services to content owners, creators and distributors, has appointed former Pac-12 Networks Sr. Director, Content Production Laura Podolak Waddell as its new Director, Strategic Partnership Management for North America. Laura joins the team to enhance brand relationships with a focus on an ongoing studio operations project that Gravity Media is overseeing for a major media and technology brand.

After nearly a decade of local news production for radio stations in Colorado and California, Laura became part of Pac-12 Networks’ launch team in 2012. The considerable amount of broadcasting experience she gained during her time there has led her to join Gravity Media where she will bring teams across the country closer together to streamline production processes and improve content output for clients. As Laura emphasises, the role comprises everything that fascinates her about production; “compelling content, a fast-paced environment and all the unique personalities of content creators.”

Laura’s past seven years at Pac-12 Networks were focused on relationship building, enhancing communication across content teams and implementing production best practices. The biggest challenge she’s seen in the broadcasting industry over that time was engaging a young audience, finding out where the younger viewers are consuming content and what sports they’re most interested in watching to entice the next generation of fans. “Nobody can predict exactly where media consumption is going, but what we do know, is that people want to watch engaging content,” she notes.

Maggie Rogers Shines Brightly With Sapphire Touches Posted: 11/11/2019

MIRRAD supplies two Avolites consoles for Ben Everett’s design for producer, songwriter and performer’s headlining tour

A lot has happened in Maggie Rogers’ world since 2016, when a video of her demoing a then-newly-recorded song, “Alaska,” for Pharrell Williams at NYU went viral. Following opening slots on major tours with both HAIM and Mumford & Sons last year, Rogers dropped her own major label debut, Heard It in a Past Life, this past January, which charted in the second highest slot of the Billboard 200. Consequently, the artist has spent much of 2019 on the road in support of the album, performing a sold-out fall headline tour in such iconic venues as Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, Berkley’s Greek Theatre, and New York City’s Radio City Music Hall.

The “look and feel” of Rogers’ tour this year has been a collaborative effort between the artist and Lighting Designer Ben Everett, who first started working with her when he lit Rogers’ first-ever show in London two years ago. Having toured with an impressive roster of bands over the past five years—including Bear's Den, The Jesus and Mary Chain, and The Dandy Warhols—Everett is now part of the UK-based MIRRAD team, which has been supplying a pair of Avolites Sapphire Touch lighting control consoles for Rogers’ 2019 worldwide trek.

Everett notes that he’s been using Avolites lighting consoles “pretty much since I started in the live music industry,” he shares. “I was lucky enough to learn on all of the early Titan software, and mainly used the Tiger Touch II and Quartz consoles to begin with. The features that kept me attracted to the desks at first were the ability to quickly create really impressive and intricate effects, and the user-friendly and multi-functional layout of the touchscreens. And while growing with the consoles over the years, the ease of being able to create cue stacks, key frame shapes, and pixel mapping really helps me in my day-to-day programming now.”

In August 2019, MTV hosted its 36th Annual Video Music Awards at the Prudential Center in Newark, USA. The awards saw performances from some of the biggest names in the modern music including Taylor Swift, Shawn Mendes, Missy Elliot, and Miley Cyrus to name but a few. Broadcast globally, the show saw an audience of over 1.5million tune in to watch the show.

The show featured an eye-popping array of video elements throughout the show with used during performances and for stage design and text listings of performers and presenters. Entertainment design firm Visual Noise Creative LLC deployed ten disguise gx 2 media servers to facilitate the video intensive environment.

Jesse Ignjatovic, Co-Founder of the live entertainment production company Den of Thieves, executive produced this year’s show and helped spearhead the use of impressive visuals for the VMAs.

“MTV and Viacom continues to push the limits on television production year over year, and for us that means new scenery with massive amounts of integrated video,” says Trevor Burk, Creative Director and Screens Producer at Visual Noise Creative. “The set that Julio Himede designed this year was no exception and was almost entirely made of video. We needed a platform that enabled us to be creative, flexible and fast enough to get this monster of a show on its feet in a short amount of time.”
