Harmonic Demonstrates Cutting-Edge End-to-End Playout and Distribution Workflow on IT Infrastructure at the 2017 NAB Show Posted: 14/04/2017
At the 2017 NAB Show, Harmonic (NASDAQ: HLIT), the worldwide leader in video delivery infrastructure, will host and participate in a unique Alliance for IP Media Solutions (AIMS) interoperability demo at the company's booth, SU1210, with other technology innovators, including Arista, Embrionix, LAWO, Tektronix and Vizrt. Harmonic and its partners will demonstrate unique uncompressed IP interoperability for a complete playout chain. The workflow will feature live source inputs, complex graphics workflow, network time sync, low-latency monitoring, playout with full CIAB workflow and automation control with traffic integration, and broadcast encoding delivering emission-ready transport streams for terrestrial, satellite, cable and OTT delivery.

AIMS Introduces Japan Subgroup Posted: 18/11/2016
The Alliance for IP Media Solutions (AIMS) today announced the launch of a Japan subgroup focused on conducting AIMS marketing activities in Japan. The subgroup will work to spread awareness of AIMS messages and objectives in a way that's tailored to the Japanese market. Preco introduces Tieline Genie IPv6-ready audio codec Posted: 13/03/2012

Preco announces a major addition to the Tieline range of broadcast audio codecs. The Tieline Genie is a six channel IP codec designed for IP-based studio-to-studio and studio-to-transmitter links. Other applications include multicasting over compatible IP networks, receiving IP audio streams from remote broadcast codecs, and (with an optional expansion card) 5.1 surround sound or 6-channel audio distribution.

CHUM Radio selects Lawo for Facility Upgrade Posted: 26/01/2010
Lawo is pleased to announce that Toronto's CHUM-FM 104.5 and CP24 Radio 1050, the region's leading broadcaster, has taken delivery of a Nova73 HD router, a Nova 17 router, a zirkon radio console, and thirteen crystal radio consoles. Installation was completed in October 2009.
 
Part of a dramatic revitalization of the station's facilities, the new Lawo equipment has significantly enhanced CHUM radio's operating efficiencies. The single Lawo zirkon radio console serves as the primary on-air desk for the station while the remaining thirteen crystal consoles-in a variety of sizes and configurations- are used for other on-air studios, production rooms, vocal booths, and similar production-related functions.
