Eurovision selects ATEMEs Kyrion encoder for 10-bit contribution Posted: 03/10/2011

ATEME announced today that its Kyrion CM4101 encoder was selected by the Eurovision for MPEG-4 10-bit video transmissions by satellite. This selection the result of extensive tests conducted by the European Broadcasting Union technical department since 2010 crowns the maturity of MPEG-4 4:2:2 10-bit compression just two years after its market introduction by ATEME in 2009.
