Sonys new all-in-one Multi Camera Live Producer offers high-end performance and easy operation Posted: 24/08/2016

Sony today announced the release of its latest Multi Camera Live Producer. The MCX-500 offers the performance and technical heritage associated with Sonys market leading AV solutions, but at an affordable price. This makes it an ideal all-in-one switcher for use with multiple camcorders, perfect for corporate and education, wedding or house of worship productions. The MCX-500 will be demonstrated for the first time at the BIRTV show in Beijing from 24-27 August at booth 8B01 and booth 2A243.

Sony announces NEX-FS700R NXCAM camcorder with 4K 2K RAW recording at IBC2013 Posted: 26/09/2013

Sony today announced two new professional NXCAM camcorders, the NEX-FS700RH and the NEX-FS700R. Both models feature Sonys E-mount lens system and a 4K Exmor Super35 CMOS sensor and now come with Version 3.0 firmware pre-installed, enabling 4K/2K RAW recording on an external compatible recorder. The firmware update also includes the popular S-log2 gamma mode which gives a wider dynamic range, even for HD productions.

Aimed at professional cinematographers utilising a Super-35mm large format CMOS sensor, this new camcorder will become one of the new models in the “NXCAM” line-up. Available early summer of 2011, it targets the expanding entry-level digital cinematography market.
