HALO MOVES TO SUPPORT 4K WORKFLOWS WITH SOFTWARE-DEFINED STORAGE Posted: 10/01/2017
Halo Post Production, winner of the 2016 best post facility award from Broadcast magazine, has boosted its picture post functionality with PixStor software-defined storage from Pixit Media - powered by Netapp E series storage. The system was implemented and installed on-site by ERA, specialists in image-centric IT solutions for the creative industries. The new installation is particularly aimed at enhancing halos 4k capabilities.

NUCODA FILM MASTER USED TO GRADE OSCAR-WINNING FEATURE IN A BETTER WORLD Posted: 18/03/2011
Digital Vision has today announced that its Nucoda Film Master system was used to grade three Oscar winning productions - In a Better World (Best Foreign Language), Toy Story 3 (Best Animated Feature & Best Song) and Inside Job (Best Documentary).
 
In a Better World was shot on location in Southern Denmark and Kenya on RED ONE and was graded and finished by Swedish post production facility Filmek Teknik. The statuette was collected by the film’s Director Susanne Bier at Sunday night’s glittering Hollywood ceremony.

International Colorist Academy [ICA] Expands Training Team, Announces New Courses Posted: 04/08/2010
International Colorist Academy (ICA) has expanded its training team with the addition of Dan Harvey and Blake Jones. 

 

ICA now has seven experienced instructors that provide a variety of training courses on colorist strategies, commercial grading, on-set coloring for the RED camera, as well as a broad range of manufacturer-specific grading system workshops.
