OMAN TV orders OB trucks and flight case studio with RTS Posted: 16/09/2015
In cooperation with RTS distributor United Broadcast & Media Solutions, BFE Studio und Medien Systeme GmbH, Germany has received the order to build two OB trucks for OMAN TV. The first truck, equipped with ten cameras, will be based in Omans capital city Muscat while the second truck will be deployed in Salalah. A flight case studio completes the order. Both trucks and the flight case studio will be equipped with RTS intercom systems.

Dolce Sport TV channels have purchased a Quantel Enterprise sQ fast turnaround news and sports production system. The system was supplied through Quantel's system integration partner, Studiotech, following a bidding procedure. Dolce Sport are the sports TV channels of Telekom Romania Communications S.A. (former Romtelecom S.A. and arm of OTE and Deutsche Telekom Groups). One of the biggest TV providers in Romania, Telekom Romania Communications reported almost 1.4 million subscribers at the end of Q2 2014.

Megahertz builds 3G-capable truck for Oman TV Posted: 10/09/2013

Megahertz Broadcast Systems (MHz), in association with its local partner Mustafa Sultan, today announced that it has been awarded a contract for the build of a new outside broadcast unit for Oman TV. The UK-based independent systems integrator is now in the process of building the expanding articulated vehicle, which will be capable of handling 3Gb/s signals for 1080/50p production. It is also fitted with high performance air conditioning to ensure staff comfort in the high temperatures experienced in Oman in mid-summer.

Orange Romania Launches TV Service With GlobeCast on Astra Posted: 14/06/2013
GlobeCast and SES (NYSE Euronext Paris and Luxembourg Stock Exchange: SESG) announced today that they are providing services to Orange Romania for the launch of a high-quality direct-to-home satellite TV package this month. The package will use multiple transponders on ASTRA's 31.5 degrees East orbital position and will be broadcast in the DVB-S2 and MPEG4 technical standards. GlobeCast will provide contribution, encryption, and encoding for SD and HD channels in the package.

OMAN TV commences live transmission from new HD studios Posted: 10/09/2012

Transmission has begun from Oman TVs new studio one where producers have started telecasting a 90 minute live programme.  The transmission represents a milestone in Sony Professional Solutions MEAs (PSMEA) landmark deal with the Public Authority for Radio and Television to equip the $69 million state-of-the-art High Definition studios at Oman TV Complex in Muscat and Salalah with the latest in HD broadcasting technology. The new programme telecast has been produced for the season of Ramadan and also runs every Friday for two hours. Sony PSMEA has also assisted Oman TV with its expertise in the form of operational support provided to the team of seven engineers and specialists to ensure that seamless transmission takes place.

 Harris Corporation and Abu Dhabi TV (ADTV), owned by Abu Dhabi Media Company (ADMC), announced that Harris broadcast technology will form the core of ADTV's new fully tapeless, high-definition (HD) production and playout center. 
Migration to the end-to-end HD platform, which spans production, playout and archiving, is scheduled to be complete by June 2010.
