NewTV Upgrades to Full HD Production for City Council Meetings with Broadcast Pix Posted: 10/08/2017

Broadcast Pix today announced Newton Media Center (NewTV), the Emmy Award-winning community media center serving Newton, Mass., upgraded its City Hall meeting coverage last spring with a new Mica 500 integrated production switcher. The PEG (public, education, government) operation was recently provided with three HD channels by RCN, and now provides full HD coverage of its city council meetings.

Canadore College Students Produce Scoreboard Video for North Bay Battalion Hockey with Broadcast Pix Posted: 12/01/2017

Chelmsford, Massachusetts  As part of a unique partnership, students from Canadore Colleges Broadcasting and Video Production program in North Bay, Ontario, use a Broadcast Pix¢ Granite¢ 2000 integrated production switcher to provide scoreboard video coverage of the North Bay Battalion hockey team at the North Bay Memorial Gardens Sports Arena. The city owns the arena, but the Canadore staff built the control room and provides engineering services for its video equipment.

City of Burnsville Upgrades City Council Coverage to HD with Broadcast Pix Mica Integrated Production Switcher Posted: 02/06/2016

Broadcast Pix today announced the City of Burnsville, Minn., has upgraded to a Mica 1000 integrated production switcher in its control room at City Hall to provide HD coverage of City Council meetings for its cable and online viewers. According to Marty Doll, communications coordinator, the upgrade was prompted by a desire to move to HD production as well as the need to replace the control rooms aging analog equipment.

Valley Baptist Church Relies on FOR-A in Major Facility HD Upgrade Posted: 29/04/2016

Bakersfield, C.A.-based Valley Baptist Church built their SDI digital facility in 2005 when an HD control room wasnt an affordable option. Last year around the tenth anniversary of its video production facility, the church decided it was time for an upgrade. Valley Baptist worked with systems integrator Technical Innovations Blue Hat Design to complete the churchs major million-dollar control room transition to HD in just six days. A major component of the upgrade was a FOR-A video production package that included: the HVS-2000 switcher, MV-4200 multi-viewer, FA-505 multi-channel signal processor, MFR-5000 routing switcher and LTS-60 media archiving server.

Denmark public broadcaster, TV2 Fyn, has purchased a Snell Kahuna switcher with two of the new Maverik configurable control panels to help drive its move into HD news production. Snells unique Kahuna Make M/E technology enables a single mainframe to support two independent studio operations, with both studios benefiting from full 2M/E production power, including super-keyers, eKeys and 3D DVEs, via Maverik control. The system also integrates a Sirius 800 router with built-in Advanced Hybrid Processing on every input and output, eliminating the need for external signal processing devices. The systems were supplied through AVIT-Systems, Snells partner in Denmark.
