Cox Connecticut Public Access Drives Community TV Forward with HITACHI HDTV Cameras

Committed to providing top-caliber facilities and resources that empower community TV producers, Cox Communications’ Connecticut Public Access Channel 15 (“PATV 15”) strives to make the most of its budget with high-quality, long-lasting equipment. Rounding out its five-year HD upgrade plan spanning three studio facilities and a mobile production vehicle, the channel recently added three Z-HD6000 studio and field production cameras from Hitachi Kokusai Electric America, Ltd. (Hitachi Kokusai) to its existing complement of ten HITACHI Z-HD5000 cameras.

Compact and cost efficient, FOR-As HVS-390HS video production switcher has proven itself ideal for a wide variety of applications. First introduced last year at NAB, current customers of the 1 M/E to 2 M/E switcher include houses of worship, universities, public access television stations, major newsgathering organizations, government agencies and network news stations.

Located in the heart of Lower Manhattan, Trinity Church, a historic Episcopal house of worship, recently purchased the HVS-390HS as the center of its new control room.
