Riedel Supports Comms and Audio for Production of Red Bulls Soapbox Derby in Montreal
When Red Bull's outrageous version of a soapbox derby -- La Course Red Bull Bo®te   Savon 2015 -- hit the streets of Montreal, a uniquely compact Rec4Box OB Factory van equipped with Riedel Communications gear provided master control capabilities supporting live production and streaming of the event. As a wild array of human-powered gravity racers made their way down the slopes of Square Victoria, Riedel's fiber-based RockNet real-time audio network and Artist digital matrix intercom system gave the event producers, Ocean Watch Productions and Red Bull Media House, an efficient, flexible solution for audio transport and communications.

Polecam adds Ronin gimbal for Red Bull Cliff Diving in Texas - Polecam is now super stabilised Posted: 09/06/2015
Polecam adds Ronin gimbal for Red Bull Cliff Diving in Texas - Polecam is now super stabilised

Polecam Systems has super stabilised the Polecam of DOP John Gillan by fitting and interfacing his new Ronin-M gimbal onto his Polecam.  The latest Red Bull Cliff Diving events were proving difficult due to the higher winds often associated with cliff tops.
Whether its a Jimmy Jib or a Polecam strong wind is always tricky for a jib but I knew that with the recent developments of gimbal technology this could be the answer.  Steffan and his team were great in getting this ready in time and the results were brilliant said John.

Against all odds John Gillan gets the shots

UK DOP / Polecam owner operator John Gillan, booked to cover the Azores leg of the Red Bull Cliff Diving competition, flew in to the Azores on his way to the small island where it would take place, 1000 miles from the nearest city and 2 days away from shooting the event. It was not the ideal place to hear from the airline that brought him there "Sorry Mr Gillan, we have lost one of your Polecam flight cases."
