Rodeo FX Breathes Life into Jungle Animals for Tarzan Posted: 17/10/2016
Rodeo FX completed nearly 200 visual effects shots for The Legend of Tarzan, including action sequences with CG hippos and crocodiles, where realistic water interaction was critical for the success of the shots. The studio's VFX work helped lift these animal sequences to a level where they look like scenes from a nature documentary. This is the first major production on which Rodeo FX has created CG creatures, adding to its repertoire of VFX skills.

Rodeo FX completed close to 230 VFX shots for Deadpool, Tim Miller's R-rated depiction of the Marvel Comics anti-superhero. The studio, led by VFX supervisor Wayne Brinton, worked on complex sequences that required fire and embers, grotesque skin alterations, and set extensions. Rodeo FX brought its unique skills to this collaborative VFX effort, ensuring that the finished product was much more than the sum of its parts.

Rodeo FX Recreates the War-Torn Pacific for Unbroken Posted: 22/02/2015

Rodeo FX Opens Office in Los Angeles Posted: 15/12/2014

The Montreal facility has signed on the Hatch FX team, renowned matte painter, Deak Ferrand, and long-time executive producer, Cheryl Bainum, to lead the Rodeo FX Los Angeles team. The new office offers Hollywood studios and creatives direct access to all Rodeo FX services.

Montreal Facilities Collaborate on Source Code Posted: 27/01/2012

When visual effects supervisor Louis Morin and VFX producer Annie Godin were nominated for a VES Award for their work on Duncan Jones Source Code, the Montreal-based facilities involved in the film had reason to celebrate as well. Under the guidance of Morin, the VFX facilities each took on different parts of the project, sharing assets and coordinating deliveries on the film. The result was both a visually stunning film and proof that the Montreal film industry can compete with the best on the world stage.
