Extreme Sports with the Sachtler Ace M

When once a year riders face off in Tallinn, Estonia BMX riders and sports enthusiasts come together for one of the biggest and most famous BMX competitions, Simple Session. Spectators bear witness to unbelievable and sometimes risky tricks, such as the barspin, cash roll, backflip, or icepick. Ryszard Syryczyski, who, along with his production company RyyS, was contracted to shoot the festival, is among the fans. True to his motto "Do what you love and you will never have to work a day in your life, at Simple Session, the videographer can combine his passion for extreme sports and BMX with his job. Throughout, the Sachtler Ace M fluid head and the Ace 75/2 D tripod are always at Syryczyski's side. Sachtler is part of Vitec Videocom, a Vitec Group company.

Bill Fenster chooses the Sachtler Ace M for political documentary Posted: 30/10/2013
Bill Fenster chooses the Sachtler Ace M for political documentary
Documentarian Bill Fenster based in Phoenix, Arizona has relied on Sachtler fluid heads and tripods throughout his career. Sachtler is part of Vitec Videocom, a Vitec Group company. Therefore, when he first put a Sachtler Ace M to work in the summer of 2013, he was more than familiar with Sachtlers signature operational feel that the new, small tripod system would have to live up to. It was quite a challenge, keeping the quality of Sachtler with the much miniaturized size, he said. You wouldnt believe this thing it has Sachtlers immaculate movement, as all Sachtler tripods do. But this thing, you can practically put it in your back pocket.

Sachtler Ace M accumulates frequent-flyer miles with Jonah Kessel

In one moment, the world smells like fresh croissants and full-bodied red wine; chansons accompany a touch of lavender on the streets. Around every corner, one can breathe in the aroma of freshly brewed espresso and pause to hear the moving sounds of accordion music in the artful cities and picturesque landscapes. Faraway hoof beats invite you to continue the journey on the tracks of Genghis Khan the climate gets rougher, agricultural crop lands are spread across the land, a yak eats from the scant grass.

On the go with the Sachtler Ace in Sierra Leone Posted: 19/11/2012
On the go with the Sachtler Ace in Sierra Leone

When Sierra Leone won independence from Great Britain in 1961, the country was seen as the "Athens of West Africa". Sierra Leone was famous for its high level of education. Now, it is among the poorest countries of the world and ranks near the bottom of the Human Development Index 2011. Since 2002, when the civil war came to an end after ten years, the country has worked to rebuild itself. Aid has been supplied by various organizations, including Tearfund, a Christian relief and development agency from Great Britain. On behalf of Tearfund, London-based cinematographer and photographer Ralph Hodgson, shot a film about the current situation in Sierra Leone.
