Research shows most Consumers lost an electronic device due to lack of protection Posted: 15/03/2018

61% of people have lost a fragile electronic device or a camera at some point due to water, sand or a strong impact that got the equipment smashed. However, when travelling with laptops people tend to be more careful and use a protective case, according to 83% of the respondents. These are some of the findings from the recent research[1] among a sample of 1.400 participants carried out by Peli, the global leader in the design and manufacture of high-performance protection cases.

ATEME Provides Arqiva and Samsungs First 5G Trials with 4K HDR Video Content Posted: 07/09/2017

ATEME announced today that its advanced video compression technology is used by Arqiva and Samsung Electronics to conduct the first field trial of 5G Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) technology in the UK. Eurofins Digital Testing (Eurofins) announced today they will develop an HbbTV Application Test Centre in co-operation with Samsung Electronics (Samsung) for testing HbbTV Applications on HbbTV enabled TVs. Chinas Dalian TV outfits new OB van with SAM technology Posted: 24/05/2016

SAM announced today that Dalian TV, the Chinese regional broadcaster based in Liaoning Province, has incorporated SAMs Kahuna 6400 switcher and Sirius 830 router into its new OB van that was built by Chinas Beijing Xingguang Film & TV Equipment Technologies. SAMs Kahuna, IQ Modular and Sirius technology has been chosen for EUROMEDIAs new fleet of three hybrid 4K OB vans commissioned to address the growing market for live events broadcasting, including sports, music and entertainment. The new OB fleet, comprising one large and two smaller vehicles, has recently been used by broadcaster Canal+ for a 4K HDR football broadcasting trial between Olympique Lyonnais and PSG in February. The fleet will also be used for European football championships, the Tour de France and other sporting events later this year.
