Stand N20

SENCORE at ANGA Cable 2011:

At ANGA Cable 2011, SENCORE will highlight a complete line of products that support reliable, efficient, and high-quality video delivery, system monitoring, and video over IP transmission. All of SENCORE's products reflect the company's ongoing commitment to providing cost-effective signal processing and video delivery solutions for broadcast, cable, satellite, telco, and IPTV operations around the world.

SENCORE Products on Display at ANGA Cable 2011:

TXS 3453 Transcoder
The TXS 3453 Transcoder delivers multiple channels of best-in-class, high-performance, reliable transcoding and transrating in a high-density 1RU chassis. With a configurable engine and multichannel architecture, the TXS 3453 can perform MPEG-2 to H.264 and H.264 to MPEG-2 SD and HD transcoding -- as well as transrating of MPEG-2 or H.264 streams -- at an unbeatable cost-per-channel. Key features include ASI and MPEGoIP transport stream inputs and outputs, plus the ability to compress the output to very low bit rates while maintaining excellent video quality for the end viewer. The TXS 3453 offers up to 16 channels of transcoding or transrating in a 1RU rackmount platform.

MRD 3187B Receiver Decoder
The modular MRD 3187B Receiver Decoder adapts to virtually any contribution, distribution, or backhaul environment and sets the standard for performance, scalable functionality, and low cost of ownership. The MRD 3187B is available in one- and two-channel configurations with a range of IP, RF, and ASI input modules and video output options. The robust decoding engine has been designed for maximum interoperability and superior error concealment with support for MPEG-2 and H.264 HD and SD video streams. Dual DVB-CI CAM slots are provided for conditional access, decryption, and multiservice descrambling applications.

The MRD 3187B also features SENCORE's 8716 four-port satellite input card. This card not only supports DVB-S and DVB-S2 demodulation as in previous-generation satellite cards, but also includes additional support for the receiver decoder's advanced features including VCM, 16- and 32-APSK demodulation with 1-45 MSPS capabilities, and multiple transport stream selection via Input Stream Identifier (ISI).

IRD 3000 Integrated Receiver Decoders
The IRD 3000 series provides cost-effective solutions for distributing video services on IP, satellite, and ASI networks for terrestrial, satellite, cable, and IPTV broadcast environments. SENCORE's line of integrated receiverdecoders (IRD) is designed to support SD applications, allowing operations to leverage their existing SD infrastructures while ensuring an easy software upgrade to HD for future expansion. The IRD 3000 series is available with satellite, MPEGoIP, and ASI inputs, and with SDI and composite video outputs. The IRD platforms come standard with BISS- and DVB-CI-based decryption.

SMD 989 DVB-S2 Modulator
The SMD 989 offers unprecedented modulation efficiency and density with two independent DVB-S2 RF transmissions packaged in a single 1RU chassis. The platform supports multistream satellite video delivery, economizes transponder usage, and includes DVB-ASI and IP transport stream inputs. Additional SMD 989 DVB-S2 features include an optional agile L-band upconverter with a frequency range of 950 to 2150 MHz; support for all modulation formats defined in the DVB-S2 standard, including 8-PSK, 16-APSK, and 32-APSK; and optional multistream inputs.

MPEGScan Media Quality Software and CMA 1820 Analyzer
SENCORE's MPEGScan software runs as a background service on ingest, playout, and archive servers to automatically scan and perform quality control (QC) on each media file in real time. MPEGScan is ideal for content generation and qualification for VOD applications, and it can be configured, controlled, and monitored from any standard Web browser. The software also comes with a Web service-based applications programming interface (API) for easy integration into any file-based workflow system.

The in-depth protocol analysis of the SENCORE CMA 1820 compressed media analyzer is a perfect complement to the MPEGScan media quality service. The CMA 1820 is the industry's first total solution for encoding compliance testing of video content for both real-time broadcast and over-the-top Internet streaming applications. By performing in-depth analysis of video encoding in all leading formats -- including H.264, MPEG-2, and VC-1 in container files such as transport stream, 3GP, ASF, Flash(R), MP4, Smooth Streaming(R), and QuickTime(R) -- the CMA 1820 eliminates the need for visual inspection or additional compliance testing from a different source.

ISM 1760 IP Service Monitor
The ISM 1760 allows engineers to monitor compressed audio, video, and data services on any cable headend, satellite, or telco IP network. The platform provides detailed transport stream and physical layer monitoring for complete system confidence for all MPEG over IP services. Using a multilayer approach, the ISM 1760 reports the transport stream status on the physical layer, protocol, and audio/video levels.

Company Quote
"SENCORE's high-density, high-quality video delivery solutions allow content providers and network operators to make the most of existing infrastructures while reducing overall bandwidth," said Thomas Stingley, executive vice president of sales and marketing at SENCORE.  "In Cologne, we'll be highlighting our proven signal processing solutions -- alongside our test, measurement, and monitoring products -- designed to meet the specific needs of cable, satellite, and IPTV companies across Europe and beyond."
