The 13th July was not an unlucky Friday for the Promenaders visiting the Royal Albert Hall for an all-English First Night of the 2012 Proms season. They relished works by Turnage, Elgar, Delius and Tippett and a rendition of Land of Hope and Glory which is usually more at home at the Last Night than the First.
