Advanced Systems Group (ASG), a leading media technology and engineering firm, today announced it is a founding member and sponsor of Silicon Valley Video (SV.V), a new international information resource for tech industry leaders in the San Francisco Bay Area. The association’s first event, “IP Academy,” will be held March 12 at 5 p.m. at LinkedIn Studios in Mountain View, Calif. Registration is free to qualified video professionals at siliconvalley.video.
“IP Academy” will discuss the benefits and potential drawbacks of moving to an IP-based infrastructure in today’s corporate video environment. Gary D. Schneider, manager of broadcast systems engineering and lead media systems architect for LinkedIn Corporation, will serve as conference chair and keynote speaker. The four-hour program will also include dinner, networking opportunities, panel discussions with video technology experts, and tours of the LinkedIn production facilities.
Produced in association with Sports Video Group, which has supported the professional sports production industry since 2006, SV.V is dedicated to developing educational resources for the video production teams of Silicon Valley tech companies. Industry leaders will serve on an advisory board to help the association produce events and provide platforms for professional development. A portion of all SV.V proceeds will support local community causes and initiatives.
