Sequence Post have recently drawn to the final stages of their inaugural 'S' Factor competition, in which short-listed new entrants from various Media courses around the country battled for the chance to win a first-time job in TV. The lucky winner of 'S Factor 2010' will venture into a customised, paid role with Sequence, where they will gain hands-on experience both in the editing, design, finishing and 'on set' assisting on short form RED film production projects. Inspired by previous success stories from the Sequence family including 2009 Broadcast Post-Production Hot Shot - Ian Grech, who has since become one of the top FCP talents in London.
Foakes said: "This year we have run the competition on a small scale, under the radar to test the format with Bournemouth Media School and Ravensbourne College. Seeing the young new entrants all fired up reminds me of starting out editing at only 18 years old. They are the future and not to be ignored or sent to the kitchen to make cups of tea."
