Broadcast Pix Announces Appointment of  Graham Sharp to Board of Directors

The Board of Directors of Broadcast Pix™, at its regularly scheduled monthly meeting, unanimously elected Graham Sharp as director to sit on  the Board of the award-winning video technology company. This action follows Mr. Sharp’s engagement as CEO in August, 2019. 


With more than three decades of executive management experience in the media technology and business development industries, Sharp brings extensive knowledge of international business and cultures gained through living and working in Asia, Europe, Canada, and the US. Prior to joining Broadcast Pix, Sharp served as executive vice president and general manager of Avid’s video division, as well as chief marketing officer and senior vice president of corporate development at Grass Valley.


Mr. Sharp commented, “Broadcast Pix have some great technology, particularly the flexibility of the control interfaces and the automation of complex production tasks. We intend to empower the next generation of content producers (who are not necessarily broadcast trained) to deliver highly professional content using solutions that are easy to use and deploy at an affordable price point.”

Blackburn UK based lighting  and visuals rental company HSL supplied 30 x Clay Paky Sharpies and 30 x Jarag lighting fixtures to Lighting Designer Tom Kinane for the new BBC quiz show series of The Link.

The first 25 episodes of the show was recorded in Studio A at BBC Scotland in Glasgow and produced by STV Productions. Presented by Mark Williams (of Harry Potter fame) and directed by Julian Smith, it will air on BBC1 during a primetime 5 6 p.m. slot.

Quality Delivers Quantity for the Islam Channel

After migrating to high quality media streaming, the Islam Channel's online audience has doubled in size. The TV station's recent shift from a 100Kbps to 500kbps stream has seen a considerable improvement in the on-screen experience even full screen and the reaction has been overwhelmingly positive, with record numbers of viewers connecting with the programming.

Now, with Sharpstream's online platform in place, the Islam Channel has a means of communicating with new audiences and a way of connecting with existing audiences on a variety of connected devices, including iphones, ipads and androids. Bid Shoppings TV Channels Go Live on the Net with Sharpstream

Sharpstream Limited has announced that the three channels that make up Bid Shopping Bid, Price Drop and Speed Auction are now streaming live to the net via its content delivery network.

Bid Shopping was the UKs first-ever live auction TV shopping channel, launching in 2000. The three channels each broadcast live over 18 hours daily and are already available on Sky, Virgin, Freeview and Freesat platforms. The relationship with Sharpstream now also broadcasts the channels live to tablets, smartphones and computers.

fineline finance Fineline Media Finance has recruited three new members of staff as it expands further within the media industry finance sector.

As Programme Administrator, Donna Sharpe oversees the back-office requirements of Fineline's captive supplier finance programmes. Prior to joining Fineline she worked in various financing roles, most recently with SGB Services Ltd where she spent two years working as a credit administrator and analyst. Donna is studying part time and has recently passed the first module of the ICM Foundation Level Course.
Garry Pearce joins Fineline as Credit Manager. His last position was with Deutsche Leasing, and prior to that he spent several years in the risk environment including a role at BMW Financial Services.
Sam Baker is Fineline's new Sales Executive. Sam brings with her a wealth of broadcast experience after nine years with reseller Top-Teks Ltd, in both equipment sales & business development roles. She also gained an insight into asset finance with a role at Siemens Financial Services, and has managed her own business.

Gareth Wilding, Sales Director, said, "As the industry continues to recover from recent economic stresses, Fineline's specialist approach to asset finance has never been more in demand, so we are delighted to welcome Sam, Garry and Donna to the team.
