Cobalt Iron Inks Deal With Sirius to Resell Compass Enterprise SaaS Backup in U.S.

Cobalt Iron Inc., a leading provider of SaaS-based enterprise data protection, today announced that IT solutions integrator Sirius Computer Solutions, Inc. (Sirius) is the latest company to join its IronClad Partner Advantage (IPA) program. Sirius will resell Cobalt Iron's Compass™ enterprise SaaS backup platform to clients throughout North America who rely on the company to help them overcome the complexity of data protection.

Chinas Dalian TV outfits new OB van with SAM technology

SAM announced today that Dalian TV, the Chinese regional broadcaster based in Liaoning Province, has incorporated SAMs Kahuna 6400 switcher and Sirius 830 router into its new OB van that was built by Chinas Beijing Xingguang Film & TV Equipment Technologies. The deal also included the purchase of a KudosPro image processing platform as well as six frames of SAMs IQ Modular interfacing and processing technology. With the launch of its new OB van, Dalian TV has expanded its coverage to include sports, entertainment, music, and other live events, casting a wider net within the region and delivering more choices to its viewers.

WTS implements Snell routing, infrastructure and control for SuperSport Africa OB trucks

WTS, the global systems integrator and broadcast equipment supplier, is close to completing two new HD OB trucks for SuperSport Africa, together with two support vehicles. The OB trucks are equipped with Snell Sirius 830 multi-format routers, IQ Modular infrastructure and Snell control. One OB truck and support vehicle will be based in Nigeria (OB2), the second in Zambia (OB6). The vehicles are the sixth and seventh HD OB trucks built by WTS for SuperSport, all of which have incorporated Snell routing, infrastructure and control.

ZDF Upgrades Live Production Operations to Snell Kahuna 360 Multi-format Switchers and Snell Sirius 840 Router

Snell today announced that Zweites Deutsches Fernsehen (ZDF), Germany's national public television broadcaster, has deployed two Snell Kahuna 360 multi-format production switchers and a Snell Sirius 840 router as part of a technology upgrade for its two production studios in Dsseldorf and Mainz, Germany. The new Snell systems join 13 Snell Kahuna switchers that are in use in both outside broadcast and live studio environments, including Germany's leading news magazine program, "heute-journal."

Snell today announced that EVP, a renowned independent production company based in Switzerland, has added a Sirius 830 advanced hybrid router to its complement of Snell equipment onboard HD-10, the company's new high-definition outside broadcast (OB) vehicle. The Sirius 830 router switches all audio and video inputs and outputs for the new truck, which also includes a range of modules from the Snell IQ Modular broadcast infrastructure line to support distribution, ARC, and up/downconversion. Swiss distributor Visuals Switzerland SARL provided installation for the Snell equipment.
