Aveco Introduces Redwood, a New Concept in News Studio-in-a-Box and Channel-in-a-Box Automation Solutions Posted: 06/09/2013
Aveco Introduces Redwood, a New Concept in News Studio-in-a-Box and Channel-in-a-Box Automation Solutions

Redwood Studio (News Studio-in-a-Box)

"The reason nobody has come up with a 'box' solution for news production is that news is much more complex than master control. The workflow is more complex, more people are involved in the workflow, and more devices are required to produce a unique look and feel," said Pavel Potuzak, Managing Director for Aveco. Redwood Studio defines a new market segment that can address the complexities of a live studio broadcast by providing broadcasters a way to automate the entire workflow, generate a unique and consistent look and feel with no trade-offs in graphics, and put the show on-air with minimal training, minimal staff, and minimal equipment."

The National Press Club Installs FOR-As HVS-4000 Switcher as Part of HD Upgrade

The National Press Club in Washington, D.C. has been an institution for more than a century. In addition to being a private club for journalists and communications professionals, the organization also serves as afull-spectrum production house. The club offers video production solutions, and studio and editing facilities to a versatile group of clients that includes everything from public relations and corporate agencies to local PBS stations. When the organization decided to transition one of its two studios to HD, they sought to find a cost-effective production switcher that offered the capabilities they needed, such as multiple M/Es and a number of digital effects and chroma keyer options. The club, whose other studio is equipped with a FOR-A HVS-350HS video switcher, chose FOR-As HVS-4000 3 M/E video switcher for its new control room.
