Bluebell Opticom at BVE 2017 Posted: 30/01/2017

BCX-760 Series 10G Ethernet Point-to-Point Fibre Link

New to BVE this year is Bluebell Opticom's BCX-760 Series 10G Ethernet point-to-point fibre link, a camera-back interface that allows easy connection and signal transport between a camera and an outside broadcast (OB) truck or a base station. In a first for the industry, BCX interfaces map all signals presented at the back of any broadcast camera onto a 10G Ethernet point-to-point link, ensuring safe, robust, interference-immune, high-quality transport over much longer distances than have been possible before.

Bluebell Announces Modular Fibre Interface for Smaller Robotic POV Camera Systems Posted: 19/08/2015
Bluebell Opticom Ltd., provider of innovative fibre-optic solutions for fixed and remote applications, today introduced the TDM750, a stand-alone or rack-mounted module for transporting HD-SDI and 100BaseT Ethernet signals. The unit provides cost-effective fibre connectivity for the growing range of compact and remote HD pan/tilt cameras used in concert halls and government chambers, making it possible to forego copper cabling and increase the distance between the cameras and the control room.

Bluebell Opticom will be at Stand F7 at BVE and will be introducing to the UK Posted: 27/01/2011
BVE sees the UK launch of the new TDM700 system, designed to provide a rugged and cost effective optical link between a remote “POV” (Point of View) Camera and an OB van or Control Room.
The link provides an HD-SDI feed from the camera with a reverse composite video feed for genlock or monitoring plus bi-directional RS232 and RS422 data for full control of the POV.
A 10/100 BaseT Ethernet link is provided to allow control of IP based devices while a GPI path can be used to drive a tally light.
The camera end is housed in a robust aluminium enclosure for field and OB use.

Rugged POV optical links Posted: 30/09/2010
The new TDM700 system from Bluebell is designed to provide a rugged and cost effective optical link between a remote POV (Point of View) Camera and an OB van or Control Room.

The base unit can be fitted in a standard Bluebell 19" rack frame where multiple cameras feed into a central control room or truck. Alternatively the base unit can also be supplied in a portable case for more portable use.

FlashCase, Nevions ultra-lightweight frame for outdoor broadcast wins at NAB Posted: 28/04/2010
FlashCase, one of two new enclosure solutions introduced by Nevion (formerly Network/VPG) caused a stir at NAB and brought home an award for technical innovation for the leading video transport solution provider.
"Broadcasters at NAB really responded to the simplicity and versatility, as well as sophisticated feature set of FlashCase," said Nevion USA president Eugene Keane. "The use of optical fibre, overall versatility monitoring and control capabilities, all within a durable yet extremely lightweight frame proved the demand for this product. FlashCase brings a new level of performance and control to exterior housings."

Bluebell Product Releases at NAB - stand N4019 Posted: 25/02/2010
Bluebell introduces TDM-300 mux/demux system

Based around the ever popular BC Series modular format, Bluebell introduces the TDM-300 card to the North American market at NAB2010.  Responding to the needs of broadcasters to provide ever increasing numbers of feeds between Outside Broadcast trucks and across venues, the TDM-300 offers multiple broadcast services on one singlemode fibre.
Fitting in an ultra compact 60 x100 mm footprint the TDM-300 multiplexes four digital video streams including one HD signal plus 8 analogue audio channels, RS232 and RS422 onto a single optical wavelength.
Cards can be supplied with wavelengths providing bidirectional links over the same fibre and low latency ensures that the cards are ideally suited for live broadcast applications.
A copper feed is also provided allowing the full multiplexed signal to be routed through a standard 3G-SDI router and infrastructure.
When combined with cards from the BC Series range, powerful fibre optic networks can be configured to suit almost any application.  Systems can be built around a 19" rackmount system or stand alone "Probe" enclosures specifically designed for rugged mobile applications using military tactical fibre or hybrid cable.
