TVU Networks and rsquo; New Feature for Social Production Enables Real-time Virtual Communication and Interaction Among Production Crew and Talent

With Partyline from TVU Networks call participants can achieve a unique level of communication and interaction from remote locations as though they were in the same physical studio while producing live and pre-recorded programming. Partyline enables production personnel, talent and tools to collaborate remotely in real time with full HD video quality and perfectly synchronized audio and video. TVU Networks, a technology and market leader in IP and cloud based live video solutions, today announced that its flagship TVU One cellular mobile transmitter is now shipping with an integrated 5G modem. TVU has partnered with major commercial network carriers including South Korea based KT Corp and modem module manufacturers such as Canada based Sierra Wireless in identifying 5G modems for its TVU One HEVC/H.265 1080p HDR and 4K HDR models. In addition, the TVU One operating with 5G modems was fully stress tested under various use conditions in locations such as China and Korea during development.

RTVE uses TVU Nano Router to capture the live action of the Morocco Rally

TVU Networks, the global technology and innovation leader in live IP video solutions, announced that Spanish public broadcaster RTVE chose TVU equipment to follow the 2019 Rally of Morocco. RTVE’s coverage was a unique blend of action captured at close range with a smartphone running TVU Anywhere and more static moments shot using a standard camera setup with TVU One.

The Rally of Morocco is the most renowned rally in the country, bringing in the best racers every year. To provide viewers with an engaging live broadcast, RTVE sought a set of solutions whose versatility could match the liveliness of the rally.

RTVE found the answer in TVU Anywhere, the powerful application that turns mobile smart devices into HEVC transmitters with IS+ transmission algorithm. The Spanish broadcaster paired TVU Anywhere with the ultra-compact TVU Nano Router, which helped to ensure smooth, interruption-free transmissions by providing up to 200Mbps of secure, high-speed Internet by combining data from three different SIM providers. 

TVU One, the mobile live video transmitter with HEVC encoding, was also on standby for the event, deployed when RTVE needed to switch to a higher resolution transmission with ultra-low, sub-second latency. The combination of these TVU products helped RTVE effectively capture the fast-paced action of the 2019 Rally of Morocco, and the live broadcast was successfully aired to RTVE’s flagship website and TV channel.

International Motor Sports Association in Talks to Use TVU RPS After Demonstration from Al Kamel

Al Kamel Systems, recently demonstrated their Sports Timing and TV Graphics service, to the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) using TVU Networks TVU Remote Production System (RPS) for cost efficiency and sustainability in reducing CO2 emissions. The IMSA, North America’s premier sports car organization, is a subsidiary of NASCAR that organizes the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, Michelin Pilot Challenge and more.
 
Al Kamel Systems worked with TVU Networks earlier in the year for its production of the Credit Andorrà G-Series electric car Snow Rally Championships. The company deployed TVU RPS, an at-home/REMI production solution that synchronizes multiple feeds for cost-effective production from a remote studio location. Following its success using TVU RPS for the coverage of the event, Al Kamel gave a demonstration of the same solution to IMSA.
 
IMSA had interest in using Al Kamel’s Sports Timing and TV Graphics of which TVU RPS is an integral part. The ability to set the video delay was a key advantage. Al Kamel had the opportunity to test TVU RPS at the Sebring International Raceway in Florida and with the help of TVU RPS, Al Kamel was able to deliver its Remote Time Keeping and TV Graphics to its headquarters in La Garriga, Spain. TVU RPS performed perfectly, with 2 second delay in real time.

TV Azteca Deploys TVU Remote Production System for Annual Hollywood Awards Show Coverage
