Taking British excellence to the global stage

IBC is one of the most important global event for the content and technology industry, and it returns to an in-person gathering in 2022 (9 – 12 September, RAI Amsterdam).

Once again, Tradefair is managing a UK group with a number of leading British companies on behalf of TechUK (www.techuk.org) the trade association for the UK technology industry. Tradefair presents UK pavilions at a number of key events worldwide, recruiting and providing the administration and on-ground support for UK SME’s and start-ups. At IBC 2022, the UK group will be present in five halls.

Reflecting the broad impact that UK innovators have had across the creative and technical spectrum throughout the history of electronic media, the members of the 2022 IBC group span many aspects of the industry.

Still only two years old, Aqua Broadcast is already making an impact with its transmitters and audio processors. Bango Resale is the industry leading Offers on Demand Platform. Christy Media provides recruitment and executive search for the industry. Coralbay.tv has transformed linear television channels for cloud playout.

CRM.COM provides systems for billing, rewards and digital money. dB Broadcast is the UK’s largest independent systems integrator, and also manufactures specialist hardware. Disk Archive develops high availability, high security enterprise-class archives and content libraries for the broadcast and media industry. Eddystone Broadcast delivers modular, pluggable transmitters on a global scale.

Emotion Systems develops software tools that de-skill and automate repetitive audio processing tasks. Imagen claims the world’s largest cloud-based video storage and management platform. Iyuno-SDI provides localisation on a global scale, including dubbing and subtitling with expert fluency. Ortana Media Group is a leading provider of asset management, orchestration and automation solutions.

Open Broadcast Systems offers cutting-edge encoding and decoding to deliver premium content over IP with better quality and reduced costs. Polar Graphics has been supplying storage and processing equipment for the creative media industries for more than 25 years. Active almost as long, RJS Electronics supplies switches and other electro-mechanical parts. RioVIDEO is a producer of audio/video professional compression technology for the transmission of TV and radio services.

Salsa Sound applies artificial intelligence to audio production, rapidly rising to prominence through automatic tools to add convincing crowd sounds when the pandemic emptied stadiums. Satcoms Innovation Group promotes innovation in the satellite communication industry to improve operational efficiency.Spacepath Communications designs, manufactures and supports a broad range of uplink amplifiers and associated equipment for satellite operators. Speechmatics is a leader in highly accurate speech recognition.

SIPitPro and Systembase are collaborating to discuss and demonstrate their audio codec expertise. Tellyo will be showcasing its web-based video production, editing, streaming and distribution platform. Total Media Cast provides media industry management consultancy, along with crewing services and satellite bandwidth leasing. Yotta Media Labs, provides technical consultancy, as well as development, cloud services and more.

“These 25 companies are tightly focused on delivering for their customers worldwide,” said Mark Birchall, managing director of Tradefair. “Their energies are concentrated on delivering excellent products and services. We help them by taking on the administrative burden, allowing them to shine on the industry’s biggest global stage, IBC.”

The exhibitors will be based in UK pavilions in IBC halls 1, 6, 8 and 9, along with the specialist “content everywhere” hall 5.
