Tightrope Media Systems showcased Cablecast, a proven digital broadcast solution, for the first time at IBC2012 in Amsterdam, 7-11 September 2012.
Cablecast is a sophisticated television station automation system that is completely operated from a web browser. Tightrope has automated virtually every function, making it extremely user friendly and efficient. With Cablecast automation software, users simply enter the program information once, and Cablecast will do the rest.
Were delighted to have showcased Cablecast at IBC this year, says Steve Israelsky, executive director international sales at Tightrope Media Systems. Cablecast is a sophisticated TV automation system and has proven to be extremely popular with our customers in other parts of the world.
The latest version of Cablecast - Cablecast 5.0.5, released earlier this month - has a number of new features. The file validation tool means it can scan the SX Video Server and validate every video file, reporting any discrepancy along the way. Autopilot is also much faster and offers more advanced reporting. Cablecast 5.0.5 will never attempt to play a video file that does not pass validation, and will always skip over the video and switch to the default input.
