Triveni Digital to Share ATSC 3.0 Deployment and Datacasting Strategies at 2022 NAB Show

Triveni Digital today announced the company’s executives will share their ATSC 3.0 expertise and real-world deployment strategies at the 2022 NAB Show. Through multiple sessions on the show floor, Triveni Digital’s team of NextGen TV experts will offer broadcasters a wealth of information on navigating the complex deployment phase of the ATSC 3.0 standard and delivering revenue-enhancing services, including datacasting.

Ralph Bachofen and Joshua Weiss, co-founder and CEO at ARK Multicasting, will lead a discussion on datacasting possibilities in the ATSC 3.0 environment. The session, “Exploring the Wealth of Datacasting Applications Available for NextGen TV,” will share real-world examples from ARK Multicasting, a leading-edge broadcaster that has successfully deployed a nationwide ATSC 3.0 distribution network for datacasting. The discussion will offer strategies for optimizing data delivery through hybrid broadcast and broadband delivery systems. The session takes place Sunday, April 24 from 2:20-2:40 p.m. in the CMIP Presentation Theater, located in booth W11100.

Triveni Digital’s team of experts will share insights on ATSC 3.0 from the NextGen Now Theater in the NAB Experiential Zone, located in booth W6428, April 24-27 from 11:00-11:30 a.m.:

• “Introduction to ATSC 3.0 Datacasting” by Mark Corl, senior vice president of emergent technology development at Triveni Digital, will highlight delivery optimization strategies for datacasting and lessons from real-world examples.

• “Simplifying the Transition to ATSC 3.0” by Charley Hamilton, senior sales engineer at Triveni Digital, will examine how broadcasters can assure a smooth migration to NextGen TV, outlining the requirements for simulcasting ATSC 1.0 and ATSC 3.0 and delivering a high quality of service.

• “Best Practices for Assuring a High QoS in the NextGen TV Era” by Ruben Araza, senior sales engineer at Triveni Digital, will explain why real-time monitoring is critical for broadcasters in the ATSC 3.0 deployment environment and outline best practices for test and monitoring.

• “Optimizing ATSC 3.0 Bandwidth With Statistical Multiplexing” by David Catapano, senior vice president of engineering at Triveni Digital, will review the importance of using statistical multiplexing for improving picture quality, adding datacasting services, and preserving revenues during the transition.
