Teranex 2D-3D in use at Germanys ZDF Posted: 02/03/2011
Teranex 2D-3D in use at Germanys ZDF Teranex Systems, Inc. (www.teranex.com), a leading manufacturer of high-performance video processing platforms, is pleased to announce that Zweites Deutsches Fernsehen (ZDF), one of Europe 's largest public broadcasting networks, has selected Teranex's real-time 2D to 3D conversion technology for converting selected 2D content into simulated 3D programming.

Before choosing Teranex's 2D to 3D technology, ZDF conducted an intensive four-week field test headed by ZDF's post production expert Frank Flick. Teranex's algorithm allowed ZDF to transform 2D archives into 3D content. The objective of ZDF's test was to evaluate whether 2D material could be repurposed and used in channels such as 'ZDF neo' and 'ZDF mediathek'.
