VuWall Offers AV IT Integrators and Consultants Free Project Design Services

VuWall, a leader in video wall control systems, is furthering its sales and support during the COVID-19 crisis in order to help partners deliver much-needed video wall solutions in control rooms and collaboration rooms. To accelerate the design process of video wall projects, the company is offering AV/IT integrators and consultants free project design services that include conceptual drawings and block diagrams.

"During this time, we recognize how challenging it can be to quickly mobilize and create a visualization system that taps into the information companies need most," said Paul Vander Plaetse, CEO at VuWall "Our interoperable ecosystem of products allows us to design visualization solutions that fast-track deployment, helping our integrators cut costs by reducing the time they spend designing projects and being on-site for installations."

The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the growing demand for visualization solutions within security monitoring centers, traffic surveillance, emergency response centers, and facility monitoring and control centers. The sudden need for remote work has created a technology shift for visualization tools in control rooms and collaboration rooms. As integrators and consultants are faced with this immediate demand, VuWall is ready to assist and educate them on how to adapt to the changing ways that end users are now working. The company is also using its expertise to design video wall projects and ensure they launch quickly and efficiently. VuWall's customer experience team is dedicated to providing a consistent, personal, and customized offering to clients throughout the entire process, from the design phase to commissioning. In addition, VuWall will offer online CTS certified training to qualified integrators and consultants who wish to design their own projects.

Magewell to Launch Flexible 4K Decoder for NDI and SRT at 2020 NAB Show Posted: 05/03/2020
Magewell to Launch Flexible 4K Decoder for NDI and SRT at 2020 NAB Show

Magewell will unveil its most powerful decoder hardware to date in booth SU5724 at the 2020 NAB Show (April 19-22 in Las Vegas). Believed to be the industry's first hardware decoder to support both Newtek's NDI(r) technology for production-grade media transport and the Secure Reliable Transport (SRT) protocol -- developed and open-sourced by Haivision -- for internet-delivered H.264 and H.265 streams, the Pro Convert for NDI(r) to HDMI 4K transforms IP streams up to 4Kp60 for baseband output over HDMI.

The company is also simultaneously launching a second new model, the Pro Convert H.26x to HDMI 4K, which offers the same rich features as the Pro Convert for NDI(r) to HDMI 4K for users who don't require NDI support. Both models also support additional streaming protocols including RTSP, RTMP, UDP, RTP and HTTP streaming.

The two new low-latency converters decode input streams up to 4196x2160 at full 60 frames per second for output to baseband monitors, projectors, production or distribution equipment via an HDMI 2.0 interface. Offering the high reliability, assured performance and compact size of dedicated hardware compared to software-based stream playout, they are perfect for applications including multi-site video distribution; image magnification (IMAG); video walls; digital signage; remote production; or bridging legacy and next-generation media infrastructures.

Magewell Debuting Versatile, Multi-Protocol Live Stream Decoder at ISE 2020 Posted: 28/01/2020
Magewell Debuting Versatile, Multi-Protocol Live Stream Decoder at ISE 2020

Magewell has announced a versatile new conversion product that seamlessly brings together the worlds of IP-based streaming and baseband AV presentation equipment. The new Pro Convert H.26x to HDMI multi-protocol, SRT-compatible streaming media decoder will make its first public appearance in stand 8-G475 at the ISE 2020 exhibition in Amsterdam.

While earlier Pro Convert models transform professional AV signals to and from NewTek’s NDI® AV-over-IP technology, the new Pro Convert H.26x to HDMI decodes a standard H.264 (AVC) or H.265 (HEVC) compressed video stream into a high-quality HDMI output for connection to baseband monitors, projectors and switchers. Supporting a wide range of streaming protocols for maximum source compatibility, the low-latency decoder is ideal for applications including multi-site video distribution between corporate, educational and church campuses; remote production; surveillance monitoring; digital signage and more.

The Pro Convert H.26x to HDMI is Magewell’s first product to support the SRT (Secure Reliable Transport) open source protocol. Enabling secure, resilient, low-latency video delivery over unpredictable networks, SRT ensures high-quality streaming experiences even over the public internet. Magewell is a proud member of the SRT Alliance. Other supported protocols include RTSP, RTMP, UDP, RTP and HTTP streaming.

VuWall Increases Control Room Productivity With New VuWall2 Features Posted: 16/10/2019
VuWall Increases Control Room Productivity With New VuWall2 Features

VuWall, a leader in video wall control and AV network management, today announced an update to its flagship video wall control and collaboration platform, VuWall2. New enhancements to the powerful software solution include colored borders and color detection, support for the Milestone XProtect unified security platform, further integration with the IHSE Draco tera matrix, and extended KVM support of IP sources.

"A control room must be a highly flexible environment where end users can monitor multiple streams of information efficiently and effectively in order to make critical decisions quickly and accurately," said Paul Vander Plaetse, CEO. "This update to VuWall2 is part of our commitment to ensure our customers work as optimally as possible. Each of these enhancements serves to make the integration and operation process seamless, which is key when there's an ever-increasing number of equipment, data streams, and sources needed to support real-time decision-making."

Colored Borders and Color Detection
VuWall2 boosts operational awareness and productivity with new colored borders around windows that are automatically triggered by events such as intrusion detection or fire alarms. The borders' width and colors are configurable and can even be enhanced with a flashing effect, increasing operator responsiveness. Furthering the platform's automation and awareness capabilities, the software also includes a color-detection feature that triggers a new layout on the video wall after a color change has occurred in a specific pixel location on a source computer running process-control applications. This enables unattended operator stations to remain under 24/7 surveillance.
