Orads new solution brings interactivity to regular video walls Posted: 23/04/2010
Orad Hi-Tec Systems, leaders in innovative broadcasting solutions, will be showcasing this NAB their new laser based interactive solution. With the new solution, broadcasters will be able to make their existing video walls interactive.
This truly unique solution will be the first time that broadcasters can have completely interactive broadcasts from their regular video walls or screens. The interactive laser based solution does not need to be physically attached to the screen that displays the graphics - it can be mounted on the floor or ceiling, immediately over the display or covering an area of space near a presenter. The solution supports very large screens – up to 30 meters, enabling the presenter to interact with very big walls. As it can be moved between productions, the broadcaster is not restricted to mounting the device on a single display.
The solution enables multiple users to touch the screen simultaneously and interact with the scene / objects. If a user places two hands on an object and pulls their hands apart, the object will scale up; if they rotate their hands, the object will also rotate.
