AKGs Smart Battery Power Technology Improves Product Life Cycle, Saves Money And Energy For A Greener Experience Posted: 26/08/2010
akg cu400 Shopping for the ideal microphone system often means comparing and contrasting many of the same features across the board - including the frequency range, channel quantity and ease of operation - but there is one feature that is often overlooked that can have a significant impact on the overall performance of any microphone or wireless microphone system: the battery life. That feature can have a profound effect on the dependability and overall cost of ownership of any wireless microphone system, which is why AKG's products employ state-of-the-art battery power technology that results in more intelligent and efficient charging of batteries for better performance, extended life cycles and greater cost savings for the user.

Unprecedented Level Of Clarity At The Payne County Courthouse Posted: 16/03/2010
Unprecedented Level Of Clarity At The Payne County Courthouse Designing sound systems for courtroom applications presents a host of challenges: acoustical, electrical and application-specific requirements make courtroom systems the most mission critical audio installations in the marketplace. After four subpar audio installations at the Payne County Courthouse in Oklahoma, Judge Worthington and the courthouse administration approached Aspen Custom Electronics with a special request to upgrade the courthouse audio system for good. Using an arsenal of AKG equipment which includes the WMS450 Wireless body pack, a DMM 4/2/2 Audio Mixer and two GN30 Goosenecks, Aspen Custom Electronics was able to do what four companies before it could not: install a clear and powerful audio system that exceeds everyone's expectations.

According to Matt Hall, project manager for Aspen Custom Electronics, the courthouse's audio system required so many revisions because of its many acoustical anomalies. Built in 1917, it was designed to provide optimal voice projection without the use of a PA system, so even the smallest sounds reverberate throughout the room, and a good portion of the front is covered in marble.  What's more, the witness is able to turn up to 180 degrees while on the stand, looking from judge to jury, and many of the times their voice is very low and withdrawn.

Pundits Gush Praise On Affordable, Great Sound Tube Microphone Posted: 28/01/2010
Pundits Gush Praise On Affordable, Great Sound Tube Microphone Following in the footsteps of so many European imports to America's dynamic and diverse music scene, the new AKG Perception 820 Tube is promising to bring a unique, warm and rich sound to America's recording and project studios. Featuring many of the technologies usually found on higher-end microphones coupled with the groundbreaking value that is only available from AKG's Perception family, the new Perception 820 Tube is promising to make America a better-sounding, warmer place for musicians of every genre.

"Affordable tube microphones often sound rather sterile and similar to conventional condenser microphones, but we wanted the Perception tube to have a real tuby, vintage character," said Thomas Stubics, AKGs Product Marketing Manager. "The first prototypes still sounded too neutral for us, and it was clear that it must be possible to get more sound out of it. As we can hear now, this was true."
