Alteon.io announces educational pricing ahead of 2023 Student Television Network Convention keynote

Alteon.io, a comprehensive cloud-based platform that streamlines collaboration for content creators of all backgrounds, is proud to announce its participation as the presenting sponsor of the 2023 Student Technology Network (STN) Convention. The convention, set to take place March 16-19 in Long Beach, California, is expected to bring together more than 3,000 students and educators from across the country to learn, network and collaborate on the latest trends and tools in the media production industry. Alteon CEO Matt Cimaglia will be delivering the keynote address at the convention, speaking about the future of creative workflows and underscoring Alteon’s stated mission of supporting educational initiatives and the content creators of tomorrow.

The STN Convention is a one-of-a-kind event that provides students and educators with hands-on training, interactive sessions, and workshops from some of the industry's top professionals. A key component is their “Crazy 8s” contest, in which student teams work together to produce an entry that is eight minutes or less—in eight hours or less. Categories include creating a morning show, documentary, short film or vertical short film, among others. As part of its sponsorship, Alteon is providing free accounts to students to create these submissions, greatly simplifying and streamlining their workflows under the intense pressure of a tight deadline.

On top of that, all attendees, including students and educators, will receive two free months of access to Alteon. Following the event, Alteon will offer special educational pricing to continue supporting the growth and development of the nation’s future content creators.

“We’re thrilled to be partnering with Alteon as the presenting sponsor of the 2023 STN Convention,” said Sheri Stilson, Executive Director of the Student Television Network. “Their commitment to supporting the future of content creation aligns perfectly with our mission to shape the next generation of storytellers, and we’re excited for the opportunities and resources this partnership will bring to our 2,500+ attendees.”

With a focus on empowering the next generation of content creators, Alteon will provide hands-on access and teaching sessions during the conference from its customer success team. In his keynote presentation, Cimaglia will share insights on the industry and his journey to building Alteon.io, having discovered his own love of the arts and visual storytelling while still in public school in South Florida. After becoming one of the youngest editors hired by NBC Network News, Cimaglia began his own award-winning creative agency, which he ran for more than two decades. He went on to launch Alteon, which has quickly become the go-to solution for content creators, brands and studios looking to streamline collaboration and improve their production processes.

“Speaking at the upcoming Student Television Network Conference is an incredible opportunity to share the influence that my own educators had on me during my formative years,” said Matt Cimaglia. “My career began with the daily student-made broadcast I helped produce in public elementary school. I was fortunate to have incredible teachers who encouraged me and provided me access to film and video technology, and it’s an honor to now have the opportunity to share my story with eager young minds—and learn from them, too, as we push the boundaries of the media industry.”

The 2023 STN Convention is an opportunity for Alteon to connect with students and educators, while showcasing its innovative platform and commitment to the future of content creation. With its focus on collaboration, efficiency and organization, Alteon is set to play a significant role in shaping the future of the media production industry.
