Streamland Media Expands VFX Services with Addition of Ingenuity Studios


Streamland Media has announced that award-winning Ingenuity Studios is now part of its global post-production offerings. With four locations in the US and Canada, Ingenuity Studios further expands Streamland Media’s offerings to content creators worldwide, which include customized services from its picture division, Picture Shop; visual effects division, Ghost VFX; sound division, Formosa Group; and marketing division, Picture Head.

UKTV Has Renewed Its Managed service Contract with The Farm Group

The Farm Group, part of Streamland Media, has managed UKTV’s in-house post facilities in Hammersmith since 2015 and the contract has recently been renewed for a further five years. The new contract will include a refresh of the technology including a change to Adobe Premiere editing platforms and the implementation of a new asset management system. The facility will continue to be staffed by The Farm’s operational and creative teams, including online editors and dubbing mixers, working with the UKTV Creative team to produce short form content including on-air promos and brand campaigns. They will also continue to manage channel continuity announcements on site.

HPA TR-X Presents: The Use of Cinema Cameras in Multicam Live Productions

Hollywood Professional Association (HPA) has announced additional details for the 2022 HPA Tech Retreat, which will kick off with TR-X on the afternoon of Monday, February 21. The Tech Retreat returns as an in-person event in Palm Springs from February 21-24. Now in its sixth year, TR-X is an intensive afternoon featuring thought leaders discussing trends in the growing use of cinema cameras for live events. The Supersession, which focuses on virtual production, will be on February 22 and the main conference program, led by Mark Schubin, will be presented February 23-24. The entire event is being presented with rigorous health and safety protocols in place.

HPA (Hollywood Professional Association) has opened the call for applications for the 2022 Young Entertainment Professionals (YEP) program. Since its inception in 2015, the growing YEP program has supported the careers of talented creative, technical, project management and administrative professionals between the ages of 21 and 32 through mentorship, community building and educational offerings. Applications are due Monday, November 8 and applicants will be notified of their status in early December. The 2022 YEP class will begin in January 2022.
