24-7 Drama move into The Bottle Yard

Specialist rental company 24-7 Drama is to become the first tenant of 'The Bottle Yard', a new production facility in Bristol. With branches in West London, Cardiff and Manchester the decision to open a fourth in Bristol was always on the cards, We have supplied broadcast equipment to many productions in the South West such as Dr Who, Skins and Torchwood, so the move to Bristol was an obvious one, said Company Director Graham Hawkins.

Amplifier Technologys new booster amps at 2.0 2.8 Ghz for CoFDM video and OB Posted: 15/08/2011
Amplifier Technologys new booster amps at 2.0 2.8 Ghz for CoFDM video and OB Amplifier design specialist Amplifier Technology Ltd has developed a new range of communications amplifiers for the broadcast market - the 8800 and 8801 COFDM linear amplifiers, which are nominally rated at 1 watt and 5 watts respectively.

Both amplifiers operate at between 2.0 GHz and 2.8 GHz for video at QPSK, 16QAM and 64QAM modulation schemes, which makes them ideally suited for outside broadcast applications, for example for use with wireless cameras.

The 1 watt amplifier, model 8800, measures110mm x 60mm, while the 5 watt amplifier, model 8801, is slightly larger, at 155 x 115 mm. Both are easily portable via a 12V supply.  Test results show good linearity across the band.

Amplifier Technology Ltd, based just outside Bristol in the UK, designs and manufactures RF power amplifiers. The company is an approved supplier for defence and industrial contracts.

Amplifier Technology also offers bespoke RF amplifier design services - there are technical resources for systems designers at www.amplifiertechnology.com.
