Newsbridge Unveils New Product Lineup and Subtitle Editor at IBC 2022

AI-powered cloud platform Newsbridge is this week launching a new, flexible product offering that uniquely supports the ingest, storage, management and monetization of both live and archive content. The company is also unveiling a Subtitle Editor that will speed up Media Hub users’ production workflows.

New, Modular Product Approach

Newsbridge’s reorganized offer gives its customers the flexibility to select the specific media hub features that they need.

These include:

- Just Index: organizations can scale their indexing and archiving tasks with Newsbridge’s market-leading Multimodal AI. Portable metadata allows them to keep their current MAM.

- Media Hub: a cloud-based platform on which to access, store, manage and share live and archived content, accessible from anywhere.

- Live Asset Manager: users can schedule, capture and record hundreds of live streams in parallel, and view and clip the footage in real time right from their web browser.

- Media Marketplace: turn minutes of video footage into thousands in revenue with this white label solution that allows media organizations and sports rights-holders to showcase their media assets to external buyers.

Newsbridge Co-Founder and CEO, Philippe Petitpont, said: “Our previous solution focused on providing media asset collections for archives, or a media asset manager for working with live content. We identified that the market was really lacking a single cloud MAM with the ability to do both, that also integrates with existing broadcast, digital and hardware ecosystems.”

“Today’s live is tomorrow’s archive, and Newsbridge is leading the way in helping companies to speed up their production workflows, enhance collaboration and enrich and monetize their content. We’re pleased to be offering the missing piece of the puzzle with the Newsbridge Cloud Media Hub and all of its adaptable features.”

Built-In Subtitle Editor

Using the same disruptive Multimodal AI technology that enables speech-to-text, Newsbridge’s new subtitling feature within the media hub accelerates production workflows. Its adherence to key elements of the BBC Subtitle Guidelines makes it easier for editors to implement subtitling best practices.

The subtitles can be burned-in for publication on social media, and the new feature also integrates with Avid, Adobe and Final Cut workstations.

Newsbridge Co-Founder and CTO Frederic Petitpont explains: “We know that as much as 85 percent of online video views are happening with the sound off, and subtitling is an essential but time-consuming step in post production. Our customers tell us that one hour of video equals 10 hours of manual subtitling work. With a subtitle editor now available in the Newsbridge Media Hub, our customers can speed up their workflows and ensure maximum audience engagement with their content.”

“What’s unique about our subtitles feature is how closely it emulates human-generated captions. This is thanks to Newsbridge’s multimodal AI diarization, which identifies who speaks and when, through recognizing that there are people on screen and that their lips are moving. Unlike traditional, unimodal AI, multimodal analyzes multiple data types - such as images, objects, speech and context - when adding text to a video file. In this way, it operates more like the human mind and produces more logical and accurate results.”``

Newsbridge’s product lineup and latest features are available to demo at IBC in Amsterdam, Hall 7, Stand B09.
