Power your MacBook Pro using PAGs new USB-C Adaptor

PAG has introduced a USB-C Adaptor for use with its Mini PAGlink batteries. It offers a USB-C output for powering your MacBook Pro, and a USB-A output for your phone. The compact, lightweight adaptor increases the range of essential broadcast and production kit that you can power using your already versatile Mini PAGlink batteries. MPL batteries already incorporate D-Tap outputs, and a USB-A (2A 5V) unit that can be swapped for Lemo, Hirose, D-Tap or 2.1mm DC.

The new USB-C adaptor plugs into the D-Tap output situated on-top of any Mini PAGlink battery (50Wh or 99Wh, V-Mount or Gold Mount), and enables a total of 83W to be drawn for powering a laptop, as well as your phone.

The USB-C PD type output allows a draw of up to 63W and can be used to power 5V, 9V, 12V, 15V or 20V devices. This is determined automatically by the device that you connect. Similarly, The USB-A ‘Quick-Charge’ output accepts 5V, 9V and 12V devices, and provides up to 20W.

A captive screw is built-in which secures the adaptor in the MPL battery’s quarter-inch bush.

The adaptor also incorporates an ON/OFF switch to save battery power when it is not in use.

PAG is showing the new adaptor at IBC, Amsterdam, 9-12 September 2022, Stand 12.D20 (CamGear & Aspectra).
