RIST Forum Members to Showcase RIST-Enabled Products at NAB 2023

The Reliable Internet Stream Transport (RIST) Forum has announced that a number of its members will be showcasing RIST-enabled products at the NAB Show from 15th – 19th April 2023. RIST will also be explored in the IP Showcase during the show, and Forum representatives will be on hand to discuss the streaming protocol. 

RIST provides an open, interoperable, and technically robust solution for low-latency live video over unmanaged networks. The RIST Forum is a collaborative organization, led and controlled by its members. Many members will be present at NAB, with several specifically demonstrating a range of products with support for RIST. 

Cobalt Digital will show its 9992 ENC/DEC family which has been enhanced with RIST Adaptive Encoding using TR-06-4 Part 1 to boost agility and reliability. Its SafeLink Gateway as a cloud solution with redundancy features and support for RIST Main Profile tunnels will also be showcased on booth C2108.

DTV Innovations (DTVI) will be showcasing its RIST supported products on booth W1401. Over the past 6 months, DTVI has been working with major TV networks to test STLTP over RIST, from New Jersey to California, using its MetaWright 3 and OX-1 transport stream converter. 

GlobalM has announced support for RIST Simple Profile and Main Profile in its SDVN solution. The GlobalM dashboard is designed for broadcast engineers to easily orchestrate cloud resources for video transport services. The network can scale to many endpoint locations around the world, geolocating network resources on their network for each origin and destination. SipRadius is announcing their partnership with NBCUniversal on the implementation and deployment of the RIST On-Demand™ real-time, advanced production IPTV platform - SipRadius Integrated Production TV (SIPTV™). By utilizing the vast benefits of media transport via the RIST Protocol, SIPTV™ has shifted the landscape on collaborative production methods for any size team, whether remote, hybrid or fully on-premise. VITEC will demonstrate its RIST-supported products, MGW Diamond+ OG and ChannelLink, on booth N2238. RIST is already integrated into all VITEC encoder and decoder products, including MGW Diamond family, MGW Ace Encoder, MGW Ace Decoder. 

The IP showcase will take place on Booth W2867 and will feature four RIST-focused presentations.

●      Sunday 16th April – Adi Rozenberg of AlvaLinks will have a presentation on Video Delivery Intelligence.

●      Tuesday 18th April – Paul Atwell of Media Transport Solutions will have a presentation on successful IP-based applications

●      Tuesday 18th April – Ciro Noronha of Cobalt Digital and RIST Forum President will present an overview of RIST Source Adaptation.

●      Wednesday 19th April – Sergio Ammirata of SipRadius will provide a preliminary overview of SMPTE ST2110 to JPEG-XS transport over RIST.

Additionally, on Monday, April 17, 3:00pm, there will be an open discussion on RIST Control at the IP Showcase.
