Daniel Maloney, technical marketing manager at Matrox Video discusses the full range of award-winning Monarch streaming and recording appliances with KitPlus at IBC 2018. Unveiled at IBC 2018, Monarch EDGE is the newest addition to the Monarch product line. The multi-channel broadcast H.264 contribution encoder is capable of transporting 4:2:2 10-bit video at resolutions up to 3840x2160 at 60 fps. This low-power appliance with a compact half-width 1RU footprint is equally suited as a 4K web-contribution encoder or as a remote-feed encoder for remote integration (REMI) applications.
