CJP makes two board appointments to drive continued growth

CJP Broadcast Service Solutions, systems integration, production and content digitisation specialist, has made two appointments to its board, promoting key members of the existing team. The move follows rapidly growing success in winning and delivering major contracts, leading to an expansion in resources and management.

Kieran Phillips has been extremely successful in the sales role, not least in rapidly growing business in the educational sector where CJP has designed and built professional-standard virtual production centres for a number of universities. Kieran Phillips becomes Director of Sales and Marketing.

With greater sales success comes the need to grow the technical team to implement sophisticated systems. James Ruddock, who has been a member of the CJP team for five years, is now the Chief Technical Officer, and will lead expansion. He also takes responsibility for CJP’s commitment to providing work experience and mentoring for young people keen to enter the industry.

“Thanks to the work of the whole team, led by Kieran and James, we have enjoyed tremendous success recently,” said Christopher Phillips, Managing Director of CJP Broadcast Service Solutions. “One of the reasons for that success is that we stay close to our customers, from initial proposals through design and implementation to continuing support and development. That ongoing relationship is what makes us different, and we need to protect it.

Christopher Phillips continued, “But we have to develop a plan for managed growth, and by giving Kieran and James board responsibilities, we become more responsive as a company – both to the market and to our internal resources. This is another major step forward for CJP Broadcast Service Solutions.”

As well as its wide-ranging systems integration business, CJP has two other key areas of activity: digital preservation of analogue archives; and production services including the operation of a compact outside broadcast truck. The new structure of the business will also allow each of these divisions to grow their own identities and expand their accomplishments.

In the immediate future, the two new directors will be looking to increase the company’s resources, by adding specialist engineering skills in areas such as virtual production integration, and in sales and administration.

The new appointments were registered with Companies House on 1 November 2023.

CJP is a vendor-agnostic independent systems integrator. For more information on the company and its capabilities, see www.cjp-bss.co.uk.
